I got muted in the Discord server we literally founded together, and now my entire friend group takes the long hallway just to avoid walking with us. Ever since I made things official with my boyfriend at school last week, they act like being gay is contagious. In voice chat it was dead silence before the mute, and in the halls they suddenly 'have to talk to a teacher.' I thought these guys had my back forever, and getting frozen out by the people I spent every single night with hurts way more than whatever random bullies say. How do I even deal with this?

Short answer: your friends just failed the easiest loyalty check in gaming history, and the glitch is entirely on their end.
What’s happening here isn’t about your relationship; it’s about their cowardice. The second you stepped up and lived your truth in public daylight, their fragile little comfort zone popped. Muting you on Discord and dodging you in the hallways is pathetic evasive maneuvering because they're terrified of what the hallway peanut gallery might think. It cuts deep because they were your everyday people, but you didn't lose ride-or-die friends—you just found out their loyalty came with fine print.
Call it out once, cleanly, without begging: "If me having a boyfriend makes you guys too uncomfortable to hang out, just say it with your chest instead of acting weird in the halls."
If they double down on the silence, leave the server. You didn't step out of the closet just to shrink yourself for a bunch of cowards—go invest in people who actually play on your team.
