I’m literally shaking right now. I used my close friends story to vent about our coach's plays and dumb rotation, forgetting my ex was still on the list. They screenshotted everything, sent it straight to coach, and now I’m benched while my ex stole my starting spot. How could someone I once loved be this cold and calculated? What do I even say at practice tomorrow?

First things first: take a deep breath, unclench your jaw, and stop replaying the betrayal. What your ex pulled isn't a brilliant tactical move; it’s cheap sabotage wrapped in junior-high drama. We’ve all used a private story to let off steam, but keeping an ex on your VIP list is basically playing basketball with a live grenade in your gym bag. Your ex didn't earn that starting jersey through sweat and skill—they snitched their way into it, and locker rooms have zero long-term respect for rats. Don’t go into practice crying or pointing fingers at the messy breakup. Walk up to your coach before warm-ups, look them dead in the eye, and own the blunder with total professionalism: "Coach, venting on social media was immature and unprofessional, and I sincerely apologize. I respect this team, and I’m ready to earn my minutes back on the floor." Take your medicine like a captain, outplay everyone in drills, and immediately purge your follower list down to people who actually have your back. Petty schemers always foul out eventually.
