I’m literally sitting across from my little brother at our beach house breakfast table and just realized he blocked me on every single app 💀 I accidentally forwarded a clip of him wiping out into the surf to our extended family chat instead of my best friend, and now Aunt Linda is roasting him. How do I fix this before our week of vacation turns into a war zone?

First rule of family vacation survival: put the phone down, because right now you are the undisputed villain of his personal origin story. To you, it was a harmless blooper. To your younger brother, getting roasted by Aunt Linda in front of the entire family tree is peak existential mortification. Slamming the digital door in your face by blocking you is the only power move he has left while stuck sharing a bathroom with you three feet away. Do not try to argue your way out of it or tell him to relax. Own the blunder directly, offline, with a peace offering. Buy him a ridiculous iced coffee, slide it across the table, and tell him: "I majorly screwed up, my bad. You have full permission to leak my ugliest candid photo to balance the cosmic scales." Throwing a quick defense into the family chat ("Aunt Linda, chill, he handled that wave like a champ") will speed things up. Give his wounded pride twenty-four hours in the sun, and the unblock will follow.
