I opened TikTok and literally saw my best friend lip-syncing about 'people who ditch the whole lobby the second they get a discord bf' and it’s 100% about me. I mean, yeah, I've been duo-queuing with him every night lately, but my stomach totally dropped. Am I actually a terrible friend, or is she just blowing this up?

Take a breath: you're not an evil mastermind, you're just mildly intoxicated by the honeymoon phase. But watching your best friend weaponize the 'For You' page definitely stings.
Here’s the reality: when you fall hard online, your brain basically gets hijacked by fresh dopamine. To you, spending every night in a private voice call feels magical. To your squad—and your best friend in particular—it feels like being quietly replaced by a guy with a cool headset. Posting shady TikToks instead of talking to you is childish, sure, but underneath the shade, she simply misses her favorite player.
Skip the comment section drama and drag this back into private DMs. Try sending something real: "Saw the TikTok. Ouch, but message received. I'm sorry I vanished into couple-mode lately. Can we run our usual games together this Thursday, just the two of us?"
Enjoy the butterfly feelings, but don't leave your day-one co-op partner hanging without backup.
