I spent three days spiraling over weird bumps down there, convinced my situationship gave me an STI while flirting with half our grade on WhatsApp... only to run right into him in the clinic waiting room today. Turns out it’s a contagious locker-room skin fungus from wrestling practice 💀 We literally both have ringworm. I'm mortified, but still pissed about his texts. How do we recover from this?!

Dr Gnoxx answers

First of all: take a deep breath and let your soul re-enter your body. You didn't get cheated on, you just caught gym-bro biology. Running into your situationship at a clinic while suspecting each other of the plague is pure teen movie gold, but it actually solves two problems at once. Medically, it’s not an STI, just a stubborn fungus that goes away with antifungal cream and washing your gym towels on hot. Emotionally, though, your gut wasn't reacting to the bumps—it was reacting to his shady WhatsApp habit. You spiraled because you already didn't trust him. Now that the mortifying part is out of the way, use this bizarre trauma-bond to clear the air. Drop the shame and hit him with: "Well, since our skin survived wrestling practice, let's talk about those WhatsApp chats—are we actually exclusive, or am I free to find someone with better hygiene?" Put the cream on, hold your head high, and remember: never let a boy with gym rot stress your immune system.
