I spent three weeks crying on my mattress on the floor because I thought my Hinge date ghosted me over my tiny, crappy first apartment 💀 Then last night I checked my WhatsApp blocked list and realized I drunkenly blocked his unsaved number during my housewarming party thinking he was spam. I feel so painfully embarrassed, can I even fix this or should I move away forever? 😭

Unclench your jaw: your mattress on the floor didn't ruin your love life, you just accidentally self-ghosted.
First of all, congratulations on running the most aggressive unintentional loyalty test of the year. People agonize over why someone stopped texting, invent twenty tragic backstories, and half the time technology just slipped on a banana peel. You didn't get rejected for living modestly; you literally locked your front door from the inside and forgot you had the key.
Own the chaos. It’s hilarious, human, and wildly flattering for him to find out he wasn't ghosting you—he was just locked in digital purgatory.
Unblock him and send this, word for word:
"So, mortifying confession: I threw a chaotic housewarming party, tried to mute a group chat, and accidentally blocked your unsaved number for three weeks. Still alive, didn't mean to vanish, and definitely owe you a drink to apologize."
If he has a pulse and a sense of humor, he’ll laugh. And if he doesn't, at least your apartment is officially off the hook.
