I think I completely ruined our group holiday: my crush hasn’t spoken a single word to me since he saw me dancing with someone else at the bonfire, and the whole cottage is pure ice. But then he accidentally left his TikTok drafts open, and there’s literally a video captioned 'running the silence test to see if she begs' because an influencer said so. Am I the bad person here, or should I apologize?

Dr Gnoxx answers

Take a deep breath and put the guilt down: you didn’t ruin the holiday, his absurd TikTok algorithm did. You danced at a bonfire; you didn’t commit high treason. Sulking in a corner because a self-proclaimed relationship guru told him to play hard to get is an Olympic-level circus move. Giving someone the silent treatment isn't mysterious or masculine—it’s just emotional blackmail wrapped in bad advice. Next time he sits there pretending you don't exist, say smoothly: 'If you've got feelings about yesterday, use your words, not a TikTok draft.' And then walk outside and enjoy the sunshine. Relationships happen in real life, not in scripted social experiments. Let him hold his audition elsewhere while you enjoy your summer.
