I trusted my work situationship on my private Snap story where I vent about my identity stuff, and today the clown literally QUOTED my rant word-for-word in front of the whole shift during our morning huddle?! I played it off like a joke, but I’m seeing red. How do I shut this down before our manager catches on without looking completely unhinged?

Deep breath: kick them off your private story this very second, before you even finish reading this sentence.
What they did wasn’t just uncool; it was an amateur clown move. In the office wild west, private stories are strictly off-limits, especially when you’re figuring yourself out. Someone using your identity venting as cheap meeting banter isn’t playing cute mind games—they’re being sloppy and disrespectful with your trust.
Next time you catch them alone by the break room or the coffee machine, look them dead in the eye with zero panic and give them one flat sentence: "Keep my socials out of team meetings, it’s weird and makes you look bad." Don't argue, don't over-explain, just turn around and walk away. That quietly flips the awkwardness right back onto them.
At work, your identity is yours to share on your own terms and timeline, not punchline material for a lukewarm situationship.
