My girlfriend swears she gets locked down at 8 PM sharp because her holy parents 'ban all screens at sunset.' Meanwhile her SnapMap just pinned her at the downtown bowling alley at 12:30 AM with her ex. Apparently God approves of late-night strikes as long as his family sits in their church pew, but I'm stuck left on read. Am I losing my mind or is she blatantly playing me?

Tough pill incoming: Her parents might be strict, but they aren't the ones locking her phone away—she’s just locking you out.
Strict religious curfews are very real, especially in close-knit small towns where everybody’s grandma reports back on who was seen where. But curfews don't miraculously dissolve at midnight just because the boy holding the bowling ball goes to the same Sunday service. If she has enough freedom to sneak out for midnight strikes with her ex, she has enough freedom to send you a two-second text. Using her family’s pious rules as a camouflage shield while she’s secretly hanging out with a church-approved past is textbook convenience.
Don't stew in paranoid jealousy; bring the map receipts into the daylight. Try: "You told me you were locked down without screens at eight, but Snap showed you bowling downtown with your ex at midnight. I need the honest story, because this makes zero sense."
If she gaslights you or hides behind her parents' strictness again, hand her back the spare bowling shoes. You deserve someone whose honesty doesn't expire at sundown.
