My strictly conservative mom just broadcasted my breakup and private health issues to my entire uni gaming server because she genuinely thought the Discord #general channel was an encrypted medical helpline bot. I want the ground to swallow me whole, how do I even recover from this?

Take a slow breath: your soul might currently want to evaporate, but this is destined to become a legendary hall-of-fame internet meme rather than your social funeral. First rule of server damage control: delete her messages, kick the account, and drop one dry, self-deprecating line in chat like, "My mom mistook Discord for WebMD, please evacuate the chat while I go rethink my entire bloodline." Everyone in uni knows parents are technically illiterate chaotic agents; nobody is judging your medical history, they’re just terrified their own mother might discover Twitch next. Once the server dust settles, give your mom a five-minute crash course on what a public chat room actually is, followed by a firm, loving boundary: "If you have concerns about my health, you ask me or an actual doctor, not forty strangers waiting in a matchmaking queue." You will survive this, promise.
