Dr Gnoxx

So I bloated up like a balloon last Friday, felt completely gross in my own skin, and dared to say no to sex. Now he's been ghosting my texts for three days and literally walked right past me at the gas station without making eye contact. Am I seriously supposed to apologize for having a human stomach, or is this just how grown men throw tantrums?

Dr Gnoxx answers

Short and painless: having working intestines is not a crime, but weaponizing silence because you didn't get laid is emotional preschool behavior. Bodies bloat, fluctuate, and sometimes just want sweatpants and zero touching. That is biology 101. Giving you the arctic shoulder for days—especially strutting past you in public like you're transparent—isn't him "needing space." It's an extortion tactic designed to make you feel guilty for having boundaries, so next time you'll just roll over to keep the peace. Do not chase him, and do not apologize for having organs. When he finally resurfaces (and he will, once he realizes the sulking isn't winning him trophies), keep your spine straight: "If declining sex means three days of being treated like a ghost, we have a massive problem. I don't negotiate my bodily autonomy." A stomach is allowed to be full of air; a grown partner shouldn't be full of cheap drama just because pants stay on.
